AI shopping assistant privacy

This page covers the Padel USA app for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude (the "app", served from mcp.padelusa.com). It helps you find padel gear, builds a Padel USA cart, and sends you to our checkout. Our store's full privacy policy still applies to orders and to padelusa.com.

What the app receives

Only what the AI assistant passes to it while helping you shop:

Your answers about how you play, such as level, playing style, budget, preferred feel, age range, and whether you have arm or elbow pain.
Product names you ask about, and the items you add to your cart.
A 5-digit US ZIP code, if you give one, to show shipping options.
Technical data every website receives, such as your assistant's IP address and the type of app making the request, used only for rate limiting.

What the app never receives

Your name, email, phone number or street address.
Payment details. You pay, and enter your delivery address, only on Padel USA's secure Shopify checkout.
Your chat history with the assistant.

What we keep

We do not store your answers. The app uses them to pick products and then forgets them. They are not written to a database or to logs.
Your cart is a normal Padel USA cart held by Shopify, so you can check out. Carts you don't check out expire.
Links to padelusa.com carry tags showing the order came from an AI assistant (for example utm_source=chatgpt). That helps us understand which channels work. It does not identify you.
Rate-limit counters (per IP address or per anonymous assistant user id) reset within a minute and are not linked to you.

Who processes it

Shopify runs our store, carts and checkout.
Cloudflare hosts the app.
The AI assistant you use (for example OpenAI or Anthropic) handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
