Some time ago, we published an article explaining how warranties work for padel rackets. Since then, we've noticed more and more confusion among players, especially as the sport continues to grow in popularity and usage increases. Naturally, with more orders, we also see more issues arise.
So, we created this updated guide to clarify what warranties actually cover, who is responsible for what, and what you can realistically expect when submitting a claim.
Why Shop At Padel USA
At Padel USA, we go beyond just offering a wide selection of products. We work closely with all the major padel brands and source directly from official suppliers. This ensures not only the authenticity of your racket but also a seamless warranty process backed by strong relationships with the brands behind the products.
Who Provides the Warranty
One common misconception is that the warranty is something we control as the retailer. In reality, warranties are always issued by the manufacturer of the racket.
Our role is to help facilitate the process by collecting your claim, reviewing the evidence, and then submitting it to the manufacturer. While we always do our best to make things as fast and smooth as possible, we do need to wait for the brand’s assessment and decision, especially when the case isn’t clear-cut.
What Is Typically Covered by a Warranty
Warranties usually cover
• Structural or manufacturing defects that appear during regular play
• Faults in materials or workmanship under normal use
• Frame or surface issues that aren’t caused by external damage
What Is Not Covered
Padel rackets are precision sports tools, lightweight and powerful, but not indestructible. The following issues are typically not covered by any manufacturer:
• Damage caused by hitting the racket on hard surfaces like walls, floors, or fences
• Breakage from accidental collisions with another player or racket
• Normal wear and tear, such as minor paint chips or grip deterioration
• Heat or sun exposure, like leaving your racket in a car
• Use that doesn’t align with the intended purpose
To prolong your racket’s lifespan, we recommend using a frame protector and an isothermal racket bag, both available on our shop.
How Warranty Claims Are Evaluated
To give you a better sense of how brands approach warranty claims, here’s what typically happens.
When a manufacturer receives images of a damaged racket, their technical team assesses whether the breakage points to a production defect or an external impact. Structural or material defects usually show up on the hitting surface with clean, internal fractures or deformations. On the other hand, cracks along the frame, especially with signs of impact, often suggest the racket hit a hard surface which falls outside warranty coverage.
This kind of evaluation is standard across the industry and helps determine whether the issue qualifies for replacement under the warranty policy.
How We Handle Warranty Claims at Padel USA
We’re on your side, and we want you to feel confident shopping with us. That’s why we follow a clear and fair approach
If the damage clearly fits the brand's warranty conditions, we’ll replace the racket right away based on the photos you send
If it’s unclear or borderline, we’ll submit the case to the brand and wait for their evaluation before taking the next steps
We always aim to support you as best we can, but we also need to respect the policies in place by the manufacturers.
